Our Story

Our History

Preston Christian Church is a non-denominational church that was built for the purpose of providing a place for the neighborhood to come together to worship and enjoy fellowship. The first church building was built in 1914. The church grew steadily from that point on, leading to the construction of our present facility in 1980. The church continues to provide a place for worship and fellowship not only for the neighborhood, but also to many surrounding communities. In 2021 the church decided to add a new sanctuary on to the building which is planned to be constructed in 2023 and will include double the seating to accommodate the growing congregation (for updates on this ongoing project or to donate, checkout the building project link on our home page).

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to “Prepare People for Eternity.” This is accomplished by sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world, by providing opportunities to grow relationships with Jesus and people, and by equipping people for ministry (Matthew 28:18-20)

Our Preaching

Our preaching is centered on God’s Word and how it applies to our everyday lives (2 Timothy 4:1-5). Worship is designed to be meaningful, relational, and bring glory to our Creator (Psalm 100)

Our Programs

Our programs are designed to incorporate the whole family and encourage fellowship, service, Spiritual growth, and outreach (Acts 2:42)

Our Power

Our power flows from God who alone ultimately has the power to transform lives and build His Church (Colossians 3:15-20; I Corinthians 1:17-18).

Our Prayer

Our prayer is that the Lord will minister to you during our time together. That He will touch you and you will draw closer to Him as together, we seek to honor and grow in unity under the headship of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 4:1-6).
